Dark Web Monitoring

PurePrivacy

Dark web monitoring scans and tracks the dark web for sensitive personal information that may have been exposed or stolen. The dark web refers to hidden parts of the internet not indexed by traditional search engines and often used for illegal activities, including selling stolen data. This feature was an addition to the already published PurePrivacy Web Application, and was already functional in the mobile application.

User Journey

Taking the Mobile Application as the base, while also keeping in mind the unique constraints and flexibility of a web application, a new User Journey was created.

Ideating

I relied on sketching to brainstorm potential solutions.

Final Designs

Empty State

In the empty state, I made the decision to nudge the user by not only explicitly showing the Illustration and ‘Start monitoring’ CTA, but also including the Zero monitored items banner.

Adding personal identifiers

Personal identifiers against which the system tracks and detects any Data Breaches, and notifies the users.

List of Breaches

Showcases all the list of breaches, as well as additional information like what information was breached, and when it was breached.

Filter

Filter allows the user to filter results based on identifiers and types of breaches
